Bulletproof Bette

Bulletproof Bette shares her wisdom in the first ever Showgirl’s Guide to surviving and thriving in a city and industry that wants to eat you for lunch. Sometimes she does a dance callback with a safety pin holding her shoe together, and sometimes she alters her opening night dress with the same safety pin and some rhinestones. She wants to help you survive and thrive in all that you choose to do!

How it all started…

"My amazing (now) husband took me out to a birthday dinner, and was telling me in the cab on the way to the restaurant how impressed he was with my ability to be bulletproof against the elements in New York City, about fifteen minutes after leaving rehearsal, to which I replied, “Isn’t everyone this way?” He informed me this was not so, and the idea for Bulletproof Bette was born. What skills have I picked up from trudging to thousands of auditions and survival jobs and keeping all my ducks in a row, the lights on, food in the cupboard, and hair in check, while battling the elements, horrible bosses, and the general obstacles we slug through on a daily basis? Turns out I, with additional wisdom of my co-Showgirls and boys, have something to pass on about becoming the Bulletproof human being that my city and career have made me."

Update! Bulletproof Bette is a pilot! Fleabag meets Smash, or if Sheila from A Chorus Line had her own show.
